On July 7, the victim reported they were inappropriately fondled on two separate occasions by Hektor Alvarez, their previous hospital caretaker, according to Fairfax police.
Authorities said this victim, who was receiving longterm care at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, required a caretaker's attention at all times due to their condition.
Alvarez worked at the hospital as an employee of Metropolitan Healthcare Services, and also worked as a medical technician at Virginia Hospital Center, officials said.
No other victims have come forward about inappropriate behavior from Alvarez, police reported.
He was arrested on August 9 for for aggravated sexual battery with a victim through mental incapacity or helplessness, Fairfax police said.
Alvarez was originally held on no bond before being released on a secured bond, law enforcement said.
